Personal Message

For our 30th anniversary, the Brandeis Intercultural Center (ICC) Brandeis Intercultural Center (ICC) is honoring the expanding role of our center throughout the month of March with a celebration of the ICC’s past, present, and future. We are also proud to announce a partnership with Brandeis’ Black Action Plan (BAP) in hosting their State of Blackness event, a very special celebration of 69 years of diversity, art, activism, and culture at Brandeis University!

To make this happen, we need your support. We are looking to raise $9,000 from at least 60 donors to make this anniversary special. We hope that you will consider giving a gift of $30 or more to the center to assist us in reaching our goal. With your help, the ICC is prepared to continue serving as an advocate and space of belonging for historically marginalized students, creating a welcoming environment of care, inclusion, and support for all.

Description

For 30 years, the ICC has served as a haven on campus, fostering a welcoming community where diverse experiences and perspectives are valued and dedication to the understanding of cultures and ethnicities is essential. Our center now supports 17 cultural clubs and is at the forefront of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Students from marginalized backgrounds as well as general members of the Brandeis community depend upon the center’s resources as a critical connection to community, as well as a springboard for campus-wide initiatives including the student-led Black Action Plan (BAP).

The center is currently experiencing a strong rebound from the pandemic-induced lull during the 2020-2021 academic year, hosting many of the most anticipated events on campus. Overwhelmingly, students have testified to the importance of the center, advocating for more resources to preserve, uplift, and strengthen the impact of the ICC on the Brandeis community. As our campus adapts to the new realities of the COVID-19 pandemic, we continue to lead the push towards greater support for an increasingly diverse student population.

Where will Donations Go?

Your gift will go to supporting 17 cultural clubs and fund initiatives at the forefront of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Why we need your help!

As the Intercultural Center continues to grow so do our funding needs. More and more students are coming to the ICC and we want to make sure we are able to support each and every one of them.
